General Summary: The Senior ERP System Administrator will maintain and administer Enterprise Resource and Planning (ERP) environments (Ellucian Banner); work with Senior DBA to plan, schedule and test all Oracle RDBMS release updates and migrations; monitor and support Oracle database environments; administer Banner, Oracle and third-party security; serve as a point of contact between the IT Applications group and the Systems group; serve as a point of contact for data interfaces with outside entities and technical support resources.
The ERP Senior Administrator is specifically responsible for the maintenance and administration of Ellucian Banner software, including but not limited to Administrative Pages, Self-Service, Ellucian Ethos Framework, Degree Works, and Job Submission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule and upgrade Ellucian Banner software including Administrative Pages, Self-Service, Ethos Integration Framework, Degree Works and Job Submission.
Provide technical support for ERP applications ensuring that all applications are secure, accessible and meet reliability and performance standards.
Manage the College's Banner ERP to Blackboard LMS integration using Ellucian Ethos Integration, Ellucian ILP, and intermediary components, Banner Event Publisher, Ellucian Messaging Adaptor, and Ellucian APIs.
Plan, schedule, and test all Oracle RDBMS release updates and migrations with Senior DBA.
Provide low-level DBA support to Oracle RDMBS environments overseeing RMAN backups, security, database cloning, storage management, and query optimization.
Manage Banner, Oracle, and third-party security in collaboration with the Systems group and the ISO.
Collaborate with the academic and management teams to develop efficient plans, processes, timelines and work required for all identified support and upgrade activities.
Oversee and manage all development technologies used to maintain local modifications to Banner Administrative and Self Service Pages, including Ellucian's Page Builder, Eclipse, IntelliJ and GIT repositories.
Manage datamart and reporting environments and ensure the security and accessibility of data using MS Access, Evisions Argos, and Tableau reporting tools.
Provide input when reviewing new academic application designs to ensure consistency with business objectives and technical standards.
Operate within a complex product and academic environment requiring the ability to manage multiple requests.
Maintains current knowledge of trends and practices in the field through peer associations, attendance at conferences, seminars, study and review of literature, and professional development opportunities.
May be required to be available for after-hours emergency response duties as a member of a support team.
Performs other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field
3-5 years' experience of any of the following:
Administering and maintaining Ellucian's Banner Software including Administrative Pages, Self Service, Degree Works, Ethos, and Job Submission for production, test and development environments.
Supporting an Oracle RDMS (19c) for production, test and development environments.
Administering ERP and Oracle RDBMS environments on Unix/Linux platform.
Strong working knowledge of the Ellucian Banner upgrade process flow and Ellucian Solution Manager.
Strong working knowledge of administering Banner and Oracle security.
Strong working knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery strategies, cloning, datapump, sqlloader, tuning SQL queries, and RDBMS migrations between Linux versions.
Strong working knowledge of Oracle packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
Strong working knowledge of Unix Shell scripting, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience administering and using Apache Tomcat web server on a Unix/Linux Platform.
Experience with the following: C, Java, Perl, .NET and working with GIT Repositories.
Experience with Unix/Linux job schedulers, such as cron and ISE's Enterprise Schedule.
Experience with equity-minded work and/or understanding of individuals of diverse identities such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic level, sexual orientation, veterans, and individuals with different academic preparation levels and varying physical and learning abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience maintaining and supporting ERP software in a higher education environment as well as using and maintaining 3rd Party Application Integration/API's.
Experience implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing leading cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Ability to conduct research into administrative system issues and products as required.
Participate in creation of both technical and user manuals for new and existing applications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple complex assignments, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate written records.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze and interpret data and effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Bilingual skills a plus

Hours: 37.5 per week, schedule to be determined upon hire. This position will be eligible for a maximum of two days of telework in accordance with the College's telework policy.
