Applies system solutions to business problems through the design and programming of automated systems. Configures, analyzes designs, develops, and maintains ERP program code and applications to support business processes and functions. Implements medium sized projects. Performs all aspects of programming assignments and assists with systems design. Fully knowledgeable in ERP programming languages. Applies knowledge and experience with technology and application development methodologies to lead systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, file design and storage.
Design, code, test, and install more complex computer programs based on technical specifications using the ERP development environment and the ERP developer's toolset
Meet with business users to analyze complex business processes, gathering information regarding programming needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements, and recommend technical solutions.
Perform development for medium size projects by defining project scope, checking progress and deadline, and updating project status to manager and functional users in a timely manner.
Assist users with system regression testing related to enhancements, patches, bundle releases, interface changes, system upgrades. Re-apply custom modifications in the event that a customization is affected by a vendor maintenance release.
Work with users and IT members on a routine basis to troubleshoot reported problems pertaining to application software. Identify the cause, design or develop an approach for resolution. Upon approval, implement the correction/customize software.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business process issues and with technical teams to ensure system integrity.
Develop skillsets both personally and technically by attending appropriate training and learning on the job. Performs other duties assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. 4+ years of application development, or PeopleSoft functional application management experience.
Experience working with student information systems, functional/technical knowledge in the following areas: ERP toolsets, applications, designing, developing, and documenting work.
Reliable transportation for occasional trips to UTA campus. Evidence of progressive responsibility in previous positions.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
4+ years' experience working with Application Engine, SQR, PS Query, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, People Code, BI-Publisher, or equivalent experience.
Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Extensive experience working with small to large size projects
Ability to work independently and as a team player
· Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. · Technical ERP development experience in the Higher Education industry or equivalent experience.
