Posting Number: AS00590P Job Summary: The DevOps Engineer responsible for coordinating Oracle and MS SQL Server Database Management System (DBMS) administration duties (installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and policy and procedure development and implementation) for ensuring the security (confidentiality, integrity, and availability) of ETSU and Banner ERP database(s). This position implements data models, database designs, data security access, and database maintenance schedule(s). The DevOps Engineer also resolves database performance, capacity, replication and other distributed database issues proactively and as they occur (reactive). This position is responsible for coordinating software upgrades and evaluation of new and related Oracle and SQL Server technologies; and for a core segment of institutional business effectiveness and requires extensive ethical, leadership, and pursuit of excellence qualities.
