The ERP Business Analyst for Campus Solutions will provide procedural guidance & recommendations, SIS system configuration management, application testing, and advanced reporting tools to the user communities performing records, registration, and admissions processing functions. The ERP Business Analyst for Campus Solutions will also perform deep dive analysis of exception conditions experienced processing transactions for Student Information System related business cycles that fall outside of normal and expected problems.
Work with associated business areas to resolve exceptions preventing normal business operations as they relate to ERP software applications and business procedures. Perform in depth problem/root cause analysis of imaging, processing and student records troubleshooting. Develop business process documentation and configuration guides. Develop reports using database queries and associated reporting toolsets. Act as a liaison on behalf of OIT and Enrollment Management to technology services providers. Identify and develop practices and procedures as requested in related by business areas. Performs other duties assigned.
Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, finance, accounting, or related field. Three plus (3+) years of experience working with any combination of student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, student records, financial aid, and/or student financial services teams or seven (7) years of experience or the equivalent experience. Experience working with business users and technical staff to produce change requests. Experience identifying, analyzing, and designing solutions to business problems as they relate to the student administration business cycle with an emphasis on student record keeping, course configuration, and related configuration areas. Experience with fit gap analysis, documenting requirements and ability to build and demonstrate the process flows in any of the areas of student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, financial aid, and/or student financial services business areas. Must have experience with building/executing test plans and test scripts.
Three plus (3+) years of hands on experience with any combination of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Modules (Admissions, Student Records, Financial Aid, Campus Community, Student Financials, Academic Advising) versions 9.0 or higher as either a subject matter expert or systems analyst. Hands on Experience utilizing Data Warehousing Technologies for producing reports. Experience working with document imaging systems such as Hyland Perceptive Content or Hyland OnBase, and associated workflows used in capturing key documents for the Admissions business process. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Background working in or with a combination of Student Information Systems, or Human Resources technology business areas. In depth knowledge of service-oriented best practice methodologies such as ITIL. Experience working with any combination of modules related to PeopleSoft Student Information Systems: Admissions, Student Records, Financial Aid, Student Financials, and/or Academic Advising ERP application modules versions 9.0 and higher. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft delivered reporting tools: PS query and/or BI Publisher. In depth experience with SQL and relational database reporting. Three plus (3+) working using Hyland Perceptive Content or Hyland OnBase document imaging systems. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
