The ERP Business Analyst for Campus Solutions Student Financial will focus on deep dive analysis of exception conditions experienced processing transactions for Student Information System related business cycles that fall outside of normal and expected problems. The ERP Business Analyst for Campus Solutions Student Financial will also provide procedural guidance & recommendations, application testing, configuration management, and advanced reporting tools to the user communities performing student recruitment, admissions, and enrollment functions.
Work with associated business areas to resolve exceptions preventing normal business operations as they relate to financial software applications and business procedures. Perform in depth problem/root cause analysis of budgeting and general ledger related accounting issues. Develop business process documentation and configuration guides. Develop reports using database queries and associated reporting toolsets. Act as a liaison on behalf of OIT and Business Affairs to technology services providers. Identify and develop practices and procedures as requested in related by business areas. Performs other duties assigned.
Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, finance, or accounting, or the equivalent experience. Three (3+) years of experience working with any combination of student financial services, student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and/or financial aid teams within any combination of Higher Education, Healthcare, or equivalent government organizations or the equivalent experience. Experience creating queries using PeopleSoft query or equivalent reporting tool. Experience working with business users and technical staff to produce change requests. Ability to identify, analyze, and design solutions to business problems as they relate to the student administration business cycle with an emphasis on student record keeping, course configuration, and related configuration areas. Must have experience with fit gap analysis, document requirements and able to build and demonstrate the process flows with any combination of student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, financial aid, and/or student financial services business areas. Must have experience with building test plans and test scripts.
Three (3+) years of experience working with Higher Education Student Financial (Bursar's Offices) focused organizations for implementation/and or reporting projects. Hands on Experience utilizing Data Warehousing Technologies for producing reports. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSANDABILITIES: Background working in or with a combination of Finance, Human Resources, or Student Information Systems technology business areas. In Depth Knowledge of service-oriented best practice methodologies such as ITIL. Three (3+) years of direct experience with the following: working with modules related to PeopleSoft Student Information Systems: Admissions, Student Records, Financial Aid, Student Financial, and/or Academic Advising ERP application modules versions 9.0 and higher. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft delivered reporting tools: PS query and/or BI Publisher. In depth experience with SQL and relational database reporting.
