Under general supervision, performs difficult to complex professional duties in the development, installation, integration, administration, maintenance and support of assigned enterprise databases and database environments; manages and optimizes database performance, reliability and security; participates in the installation of database software patches, upgrades and conversions; performs troubleshooting and resolution of complex database performance problems and issues; and performs related duties as assigned.
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in management information systems, computer science or a closely related field; and four years of progressively responsible experience in the design, development and administration of complex relational databases and the management of database management systems; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
