Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Project Manager for the University Finance and Administration Office. This position reports to the Project Executive. This position is responsible for the overall project management of Rutgers University's implementation and continued use of the Oracle Cloud-based EPM suite of applications, including Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (EPBCS), Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Services (FCCS), Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Services (PCMCS), and Account Reconciliation Cloud Services (ARCS). Although this is not a hands-on technical role, the Oracle Hyperion EPM Project Manager serves on a team of subject matter experts from Finance, IT and external consultants for the Oracle Hyperion EPM applications. The Oracle Hyperion EPM Project Manager is primarily responsible for day-to-day engagement execution and support of the implementation the Oracle applications. This critical role will apply project management and functional skills to effectively manage major project components or entire projects and will be asked to support other business requirements as needed.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Partners with the University Budget Office, the Office of Information Technology and University Controller Office to identify the overall multi-year, multi-phased strategy, implementation and continuous improvement roadmap for Oracle Hyperion EPM Cloud-based products.
Manage implementations in accordance with the strategy using established budget, workplans and quality standards including project plans, test plans, training and support.
Provide functional knowledge and expertise in the core EPM processes including Planning and Analysis, Consolidation and Reporting and Account Reconciliations to translate into system solutions.
Ensures that the Hyperion functional business analysts are adequately prepared to support new initiatives as they move from development to production, providing production support when necessary.
Work with and manage outside consulting partners engaged with the University to implement the Oracle Hyperion Cloud-based EPM applications.
Provide solution implementation assistance as required and oversee the quality of engagement deliverables.
Identify and escalate issues critical to the strategic and operational success of the implementations.
Develop and present conclusions and recommendations to project executive and other stakeholders.
Work closely and coordinate with PMO Training staff on development, execution and evaluation of training and change management communication programs. These programs include training courses, webinars, and the creation of instructional materials (self-directed online modules, screen capture, video tutorials) to ensure that the university community is informed and effectively prepared for innovation and new technological systems that include integrated applications.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of five years of successful implementation and support experience using the Oracle EPM suite of applications including on premise or Cloud-based applications.
A minimum of three to five years of experience working with Hyperion applications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exceptional understanding of Enterprise Performance Management and Business Intelligence applications.
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, analytical, and deductive reasoning skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and address complex business requirements
Must be comfortable interacting with all levels of staff and management.
Strong communication skills, oral, written, and presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint) with the ability to present complex technical information, in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, in large and small groups.
Certifications in related Oracle EPM technology products
Previous experience working in higher education is highly preferred.
